7-day free trial, and cancelling without leaving the dashboard
A server’s first Premium subscription now starts with a 7-day free trial — cancel during the trial and pay nothing. Once per server, applied automatically at checkout.
Cancelling no longer means hunting through the Stripe portal: the Overview tab’s Premium card has its own cancel flow. Before you confirm, you can take a one-time loyalty offer instead — 50% off the next two months on monthly plans, 25% off the next renewal on yearly ones. A pending cancellation shows its end date right on the card and can be taken back with one click.
Some verify pages showed a generic shield instead of the server’s name and icon. Discord caps the guild list at 200 per page, and a rate-limited page mid-fetch silently truncated the list — every server past the cut looked unknown. A truncated fetch no longer overwrites a fuller one, and the verify page falls back to looking the one server up directly.
“Send me a test DM” answered “Unknown template” for the welcome and leave messages — two template whitelists (API and dashboard) simply predated Message Studio’s Premium fields. Both kinds are accepted now, the test mirrors the real embed — your accent color and custom footer, exactly as a joining member would see it — and when a test can’t be sent, the toast now tells you the actual reason instead of a generic error.

Lapsed Premium perks now actually pause
The FAQ has always said perks pause when a subscription ends — four of them didn’t. The custom embed color, the custom footer, templates over 400 characters, the vanity verify link and the verify-page logo all kept working after a lapse. All of them now pause with the subscription, and nothing is deleted: every color, template, slug and logo is kept and comes straight back on resubscribe.

Voting moved to Topbot.gg
Every vote button on the site now points at our Topbot.gg listing instead of top.gg. Nothing about the rewards changes: still one vote every 12 hours, still the ♥ Supporter badge and role for 30 days, the 🔥 daily streak, the Bronze → Diamond milestones, the leaderboard and the supporter wall. Votes counted so far are kept — streaks, totals and ranks carry over untouched.
Votes arrive over a signed webhook, and every route that reports one now carries the exact time it happened. That was the one thing the old directory could not tell us when a webhook went missing: it only answered “yes, they voted”, so the countdown had to be guessed. The “vote again in …” timer is now the real one in every case.
If a vote does go missing — our API restarting mid-delivery, for instance — it is picked up two ways: when you next open a page showing your vote status, and by a sweep every 15 minutes that reconciles the last two hours against Topbot.gg. A vote can no longer be lost just because the moment of delivery was unlucky, and a vote that arrives twice is only counted once.
Votes that Topbot.gg marks as suspicious (a brand-new account, or a second account on the same connection) are not counted here either. Otherwise our leaderboard would show supporters the directory itself does not count.

/vote shows your streak, this month’s votes and your lifetime total, tells you when your next vote is due, and links straight to the Topbot.gg page — privately, so it never clutters the channel.
The server count is reported to Topbot.gg only; the old top.gg reporting is gone, along with its token.

No “you were kicked” without a kick — and one message per warning
Members were told they had been kicked or banned even when the bot never managed to do it. The notice is written before the action on purpose (after a kick there is no shared server left to message through), but nobody checked afterwards whether the action actually went through. Now the obvious refusals — server owner, missing permission, the bot’s role sitting below the member’s — are checked first and nothing is announced; and if Discord refuses anyway, the message is withdrawn again. Applies to warning escalation and to Scam Shield.
A manual warning (/warn add) posted two embeds into the channel: the warning itself and a second “Warning issued” confirmation saying the same thing. The confirmation is gone — a manual warning is one message now. If the bot is missing permission to post in that channel, the moderator is told privately, so a warning is never recorded without a visible trace.

Public Suffix List, thread titles, webhook embeds and IP intelligence
Domain matching now uses the official Public Suffix List, so co.uk, com.br and github.io are treated correctly. An entry that would cover an entire TLD is refused, and a bad feed entry for a public suffix can no longer flag every domain beneath it. GitHub Pages sites are checked individually instead of being trusted wholesale.
Thread and forum-post titles are scanned with the same rules as messages — the title is cleared and the author warned. On forum channels the title is the most visible text there is, and nothing looked at it before.
Webhook embeds are scanned as well as message text: a hijacked webhook usually puts its scam link in an embed field, which no blocker ever read.
Cloudflare, AWS, Google Cloud and Fastly ranges are refreshed daily. Any IP-based signal is discarded when the address belongs to a CDN — one such address fronts millions of unrelated sites. Until those ranges are loaded, IP evaluation stays off entirely rather than guessing.
Admins can now blacklist IP addresses and CIDR ranges. Entries that are too broad, private, or owned by a CDN are rejected with an explanation of why; AS numbers are accepted for reference but never block automatically.

Scam Shield and raid protection now have their own scenario suite — 18 cases covering admin cross-posting, whitelists, disabled channels and thresholds, all green.

Rule tester, decision trace in the log, and a fix for wrong threat entries
New in the dashboard: paste any message and see exactly which rule would fire with your server’s current settings — nothing is saved, deleted or warned. The fastest way to check a reported false positive.
Every log entry now shows the rule id, the matched domain and the raw input that triggered it, so a block can be verified instead of guessed at.
The blacklist editor validates as you type, tells you whether an entry is a domain, an IP or a CIDR range, and warns when a range covers a large number of addresses.
A wrongly flagged domain can be cleared in one step and is excluded from future feed imports, so it cannot come back the next day.
The link checker’s rate limit now runs centrally instead of per serverless instance, and the checker pins the address it verified before connecting — a DNS answer that changes between check and request no longer helps an attacker.
The privacy policy now covers IP handling: the checker’s abuse counter, the transfer of submitted URLs to Google Safe Browsing, block details in the server log, and a clear statement that we never collect Discord users’ IP addresses.

Link checker hardened, blacklist validated server-side
The link checker refused private and loopback targets already; it now also blocks multicast, IPv4-mapped and NAT64/6to4 addresses, which could be used to reach the loopback interface through an address that looked public.
Blacklist entries are validated on the server for every path — dashboard, iOS app, public API and settings sync — instead of only in the bot command.
No client can delete blacklist entries it cannot display: entry types an older app version does not understand are preserved when it saves.

Detection audit: zero false positives, closed evasion paths
Custom blacklist now matches domains, not text fragments. An entry like test.de blocks test.de, www.test.de and sub.test.de — in links and in plain sentences — but no longer matches latest.dev or contest.de. Entries that would match almost everything (a single word, or just ".") are rejected on the dashboard, in the app and over the API instead of quietly breaking a server.
Brand blockers no longer fire on look-alike hostnames: notyoutube.com, habit.ly, mysteamcommunity.com, mygoogle.com, berlindiscord.gg and nottwitch.tv are left alone.
The NSFW blocker only looks at the hostname now — a Wikipedia article about pornography, a link into a recovery subreddit or a GitHub repo with "rule34" in its name are no longer deleted.
The trusted-domain allowlist finally applies to every blocker, not just the malware scanner, and a www.-prefixed entry works like the bare domain.
Only-link channels respect whitelisted members, roles and channels; the custom blacklist respects channels set to "off".
Scam Shield never acts on the owner, admins or moderators any more — an admin cross-posting the same announcement into several channels could previously be banned and flagged network-wide.
Raid protection ignores ubiquitous domains, so a group of members sharing the same clip is no longer a "raid".
Closed evasion paths: UPPERCASE links (which bypassed three blockers entirely), spoilered ||links||, bold **links**, ports and user:pass@ prefixes, bracketed dots like discord[.]gg, Greek and full-width look-alike characters, open-redirect targets, and IP addresses written in decimal, hex, octal or IPv4-mapped form — the last of these is now treated as a scam signal in itself. A plain address like 127.0.0.1 in a support chat is still never touched.
Warnings are serialized per member, so two violations arriving at the same moment can no longer lose a warning or trigger a threshold twice.
Every block is logged machine-readably (rule id, matched domain, raw input), and a new dry-run mode lets a server run detection with logging only, without deleting or warning.
A missing "Manage Messages" permission is now reported at most once per hour per channel instead of on every single message.
Backed by a 332-case test suite that runs the real detection code: 0 false positives, 0 false negatives, 100% precision and recall for every blocker.

False-positive fix: URL shorteners are not phishing
The public anti-scam feeds list bit.ly, tinyurl.com, is.gd & co. as "phishing" — after the 3.0.0 feed refresh the malware blocker started treating every shortened link as a threat. Shorteners are now permanently excluded from domain-level blocking, at import time and at match time, and the existing entries were re-categorized.
Blocking shorteners remains exactly what it always was: the separate, opt-in Shorteners blocker — which now also covers ouo.io.
Feed imports additionally skip ubiquitous trusted platforms (the same safe-list every blocker respects), so a bad feed entry can never turn YouTube or Tenor into a "threat".
Fixed a harmless-but-noisy startup warning: concurrent first-time settings reads no longer leave a stray open DB transaction.

Link Protect 3.0 — the "close every door" release
Edit Guard: editing a scam link into an old message no longer works — edited messages run through every blocker exactly like new ones. This closes the oldest bypass every link bot has.
Dangerous Files blocker: executable, script and macro attachments (.exe, .scr, .bat, .cmd, .msi, .jar, .vbs, .ps1, .docm and 25+ more) are removed — including double-extension tricks like invoice.pdf.exe. On by default for new servers.
Webhook Guard: a hijacked webhook posting a phishing/scam link now loses the message and the webhook itself, with an alert in your log channel. Webhooks used to be invisible to every blocker — not anymore. On by default for new servers.
Mention-spam protection: messages that ping 8+ distinct members/roles (threshold configurable) are removed and warned. Deliberately threshold-only, so a mod's @everyone announcement can never be a false positive.
Invisible-character tricks defeated: zero-width spaces and soft hyphens inside links (discord.gg/…) are stripped before every check — on all 14 blockers.
Threat feeds refresh themselves every 24 h now (previously a one-off import), so newly registered phishing domains become live blocks automatically.
All three new blockers are on the dashboard (new "Beyond links" group), in /blocker, in per-channel rules and in the Quick Setup presets. Fixed: the Scam Shield appeal DM was silently never sent.

The setup guide (/welcome) opens with the three steps as a rail right beside the headline, commands in two wide columns and permissions in a three-column grid.
The developer docs got a real docs layout: a sticky "On this page" navigation follows you while you scroll.
Both pages now actually use your screen: split hero layouts (pitch left, pricing or checker beside it), a numbered how-it-works rail, perks as three open columns with hairlines instead of stacked cards, and two-column FAQs.
The pricing card moved into the first viewport with the top perks at a glance — no more scrolling past a lonely centered column.

Message Studio, smarter embeds & a tidy command list
Every message the bot sends — warnings, DMs, the verification invite, the lockdown announcement — now uses your templates from the dashboard’s Messages tab.
Log embeds grew up: member avatars, timestamps, one action color ramp (warn / kick / ban / timeout) matching the web dashboard — and buttons to remove a warning or open the dashboard right from Discord. Removing a warning replaces the log entry with a removal notice, visible in the web activity log too. Accounts flagged in the scam network get an appeal link in their DM.
Optional daily digest: one summary embed per day instead of a message per action.
61 commands became 18: all enable-/disable- pairs are now /blocker, warnings live under /warn (add · list · remove · reset · kick-at · ban-at · timeout · decay · log), whitelists under /whitelist, the blacklist under /blacklist — plus a rewritten /help with topic picker.
Escalations now DM the member before a kick or ban (customizable), so people always know what happened.
Warned members always see their current count and how many warnings remain until the next step — now including timeout, not just kick/ban.

Missing-permission alerts
When Scam Shield, Raid Shield or a warn escalation can’t kick, ban or time out someone — missing permission or role rank — the failure is no longer silent.
You get an orange alert in your log channel with the exact cause and fix, and the app receives a push notification.
Repeated failures for the same user are deduplicated to one alert per hour.
The invite link now requests Manage Roles & Manage Server up front — the verification gate and emergency lockdown need them, so fresh installs start without permission gaps.
